Pearl Miniex was a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend.
She was deeply loved, and when cancer entered her life, it entered ours too.
Her journey with B-cell lymphoma taught our family that cancer does not end at the hospital doors. There are bills waiting at home. Groceries that still need to be bought. Rides to treatment that still have to be found. And families trying to hold everything together while caring for someone they love.
The Pearl Miniex Cancer Foundation was born from that experience and from a promise to turn Pearl's memory into help for someone else.
We cannot take away a cancer diagnosis. But perhaps we can keep the lights on. Put groceries on the table. Help someone get to treatment. Ease one burden so a patient or caregiver has one less thing to carry.
